Meet the researchers

Mrs Jane Vennik

Jane is an experienced researcher and PhD student at University of Southampton with a special interest in the treatment and management of children with glue ear in the community.

Dr Ian Williamson

Ian is a retired GP and honory researcher at the University of Southampton.  His research into management of Otitis media spans four decades, and has focused on improving health and quality of life of children with glue ear.

Professor Michael Moore

Professor Michael Moore

Professor Moore is an academic GP with more than 25year experience in clinical practice.  He leads the Primary Care and Population Sciences academic unit at University of Southampton.  His research interests include the optimal management of acute minor illness with a focus on antibiotic sparing strategies.

Dr Hazel Everitt

Dr Hazel Everitt

Hazel is an Associate Professor at the University of Southampton and a practicing GP.  Her research interests include management of acute and chronic illness in primary care.

Dr Caroline Eyles

Dr Caroline Eyles

Caroline is an experienced qualitative researcher in Primary Care and senior qualitative research advisor for the Research Design Service at University of Southampton.  Caroline's current research interest is the development and application of self-management techniques in chronic long term conditions.
